Programme

On Saturday, 21st September, the official start of the Belgian Transplantoux Games will take place at 10 a.m. at the University Sports Center Leuven for all participants.

Each participant will receive a bib number that must be worn throughout the entire event (Saturday and Sunday). 

We will conclude the Games with a closing ceremony on Sunday 22nd September, at 5 p.m.

Saturday, 21/9:

  • from 8 a.m.: Registration package pickup (Package for Saturday and Sunday)
  • 10 a.m.: Opening ceremony
  • 11 a.m. – 5 p.m.: Initiations, recreational activities, and competitions (see sports schedule)

Sunday, 22/9:

  • from 8:30 a.m.: Registration package pickup (initiations, recreational activities, and competitions Sunday)
  • 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.: Initiations, recreational activities, and competitions (see sports schedule)
  • 4 p.m.: Closing ceremony

Changing rooms

There are changing rooms available. Please bring a 1 euro coin for the lockers.

Sportoase Philipssite Leuven (swimming)

Philipssite 6, 3001 Leuven

Sportoase Philipssite Leuven is the venue for the swimming competitions during the Transplantoux Games. It offers modern facilities for both recreational swimming and serious training.

Shuttle

Shuttles between Leuven station and the University Sports Center will be provided on Saturday and Sunday mornings and evenings. Please indicate on the registration form if you would like to use this service.

Public transport

Train to Leuven station.

From the station: Take the Buitenringbus (600), takes about fifteen minutes.

Stop: Leuven Sportcentrum

Agreements

From September 1st, 2024, no changes can be made regarding competition registrations (except for cancellations due to medical reasons).

Participants who wish to cancel their registration for an event must notify the event’s responsible person (“captain”) as early as possible and no later than 1 hour before the start of the event.

Medals

The Transplantoux medal is unique to the Belgian Transplantoux Games.

Anyone participating in 2 events (recreational event, initiation, or competition) will receive a unique Transplantoux Medal. This also applies to supporters. These will be awarded on Sunday at the end of the day during the closing ceremony.

Competitions: For each event, participants who achieve 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in their age category will receive a Belgian Transplantoux Games certificate.

Food and drinks

Enjoy a tasty snack and drink during the Belgian Transplantoux Games! We have curated a selection of delicious options with a variety of food trucks and beverage outlets scattered around the Games site.

Registration package

Bib numbers for competitions and wristbands/tickets for initiations, recreational activities, and lunch. Goodie Bag should be picked up at the reception.

Dialysis

It is absolutely necessary for individuals undergoing dialysis to be dialysed as late as possible before attending the games. If dialysis is required on-site, it is possible to undergo dialysis during the Games, provided there is consent from the participant’s nephrologist. If applicable, the dialysis session will be scheduled based on the timetables of the chosen sports disciplines (subject to local availability). Please contact the organisation for further details.
